I'm using my Bean+ for a project in my car and I'd like to power it directly over 12V. I was checking the Bean+ schematics and found that the voltage regulator is a ISL9301IRZ. Looking at this IC's data sheet I see that it has a max input of 28V so I think that it should not be a problem if I cut a USB cable and attach the power wires directly to the car's battery.
And I right in my conclusion or is there something I might be missing that would fry my Bean+?
Thanks.
