Kinda, sorta, halfway more or less but not really.
It can connect to multiple devices. Just not at the same time.
There are two types of devices in the BLE mode. Central which acts as the central controller who talks to pretty much everything in the BLE network acting as a peripheral eg: Not a server..
The other is a peripheral. Your Bean is always a peripheral with no way to make it a central.thus has no way to initiate a connection to other peripheral or central.
The BLE chipset used by the bean DOES support the bean in central mode but PTD has not surfaced that thru the firm ware for us to use. While this sorta sucks for me and our product line, I can see how this would makes things much more complex. My self, give me the tools to to do what I need. If I should toss a rope over a tree limb and then wrap it around my neck and kick the stool away and take responsibility for if the rope is long enough.
But if was instead a school environment, that would like giving a kid a loaded shot gun...you can guarantee problems.
